Hastein (also spelled Hasting) was a Viking raider, explorer, and chieftain who left a trail of fire and legend across Europe, North Africa, and even the Mediterranean. Active in the late 9th century, Hastein hailed from Denmark and gained renown for his bold and far-reaching campaigns—often in the company of the legendary Bjorn Ironside.
