In the movie Gladiator 2, which takes place in the early 3rd century AD, the Romans conquer a kingdom called Numidia (which means nomad in ancient Greek and covered the territory in North Africa of what is now Algeria, Libya, and Tunisia). They are about three centuries late in depicting this event.
