King Harald Hardrada, considered to be the last Viking king, I consider him to be an awesome adventurer. Born in Norway in 1015, Harald at the age of 15 fought in the battle of Stiklestad with his half brother for the throne of Norway against the danish king Cnut the great. They lost however and so he had to flee to the Kievan Rus state in present day Ukraine and Russia.
